This resource has been created, along with the accompanying workshops, to enable KS1 and KS2 class teachers to put singing at the heart of the classroom, specifically in the support on learning in numeracy and literacy. In it you will find a CD of tracks, along with backing tracks, and a songbook with activity ideas and lesson plans to help you. Each song has it’s own game – explained in the songbook and CD track and clearly labelled learning focus.

The Singing Connections games will enable the development of vocal skills, musicianship, choral singing, creativity, personal and social skills, as well as bringing the special benefits of singing to participants – while supporting learning.
We suggest allocating 10 minutes every day to doing one of the activities offered in this resource. With a little preparation, a little confidence and a space where children can sit in a circle and listen well, you and your children can enjoy the activities together.
